Obama Calls Again for ‘Limited’ Military Action in Syria


U.S. President Barack Obama says the chemical weapons attack on Syrians was “a direct attack on human dignity” and a “serious threat” to U.S. security.

That is why, Obama said Saturday in his weekly address, he has asked Congress to vote on authorizing the use of force in Syria.

The president said U.S. military action in Syria would not involve any “American boots on the ground.”

President Obama said American action in Syria would be “limited,” designed to deter the Syrian government from gassing its own people again and degrade Syria’s ability to do so.

n the Republican address, Senator John Barrasso from the western state of Wyoming complained about the high costs of the Affordable Care Act – also known as Obamacare.

Senator Barrasso, who is a doctor, called for the repeal of the new health care law, saying it has proven to be “unpopular, unworkable and unaffordable.”
